Jan Solans y Rodrigo Sanjuan cerraron la jornada como terceros, con dos segundas posiciones en las dos primeras especiales como mejores resultados en esta tarde. Los de PH.ph están sufriendo para conseguir mejor ritmo, aunque caminan con paso firme, cediendo 11.7seg sobre el segundo de Gryazin y 23.8seg con el líder Cachón
En WRC2, tarde redonda para los nuestros. Pleno de scratch para Alejandro Cachón y Borja Rozada, quienes recuperan el mando de la clase a base de ritmo. Los de Toyota España están sabiendo donde apretar para exprimir sus opciones y ya cuentan con 12.1seg sobre Gryazin
Seb Ogier marca el ritmo en Japón y ya cuenta con 7.9seg de ventaja sobre Katsuta y 10.2seg sobre Evans. El francés quiere su novena corona y va a lucharloa hasta el final. Adrien Fourmaux supera a Sami Pajari en la lucha por el cuarto lugar y salva a Hyundai del descalabro
La tarde se cerraba con el TC-7, segundo paso por el Tunel de Isegami, donde Evans replicó el scratch de la matinal con una décima de ventaja sobre Fourmaux
